Guy Fuchs is a partner with the firm’s Banking and Finance Department, specializing in financial regulation, with a particular focus on payment services. He regularly advises leading Israeli and foreign financial institutions in the implementation of regulations, commercial matters and transactions, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism compliance, and privacy and data protection.
Guy has led several successful collaborations between international fintech companies and Israeli entities, and has advised on the establishment of the Israeli presence of foreign financial service providers. He has developed unique expertise in the development and implementation of financial innovation and new payment methods and services in Israel, to which end he is a senior member of the team representing Max IT Finance Ltd., one of Israel’s largest credit card companies.
Additionally, Guy has extensive working experience with financial regulators, having been frequently involved in all aspects of the legislation processes relating to the drafting of relevant laws and guidelines, participating in the Knesset committees’ discussions, commenting on the draft guidelines and legislation, and advising clients on the implications of these steps.
Guy received his legal education whilst simultaneously earning a B.A. in government, diplomacy, and strategy, with a specialization in conflict resolution.
During his legal studies, Guy took part in the Interdisciplinary Center’s Legal Aid and Social Involvement Program (with honors).
