NTA – Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd. has published the pre-qualification documents for the upcoming tenders relating to the design and construction of the tunnels and underground stations in the first phase of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Mass Transit System.
This is the largest, most complex and most expensive infrastructure project ever undertaken in Israel – and one of the largest in the world to date. Beyond its immense scale, it will serve as a key driver of economic growth and is set to transform public transportation across central Israel, impacting the daily lives of roughly five million residents in the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
The pre-qualification process is one of the most sophisticated and innovative ever carried out in Israel, designed to allow as many groups as possible to participate in about ten future tenders that will unfold over the coming years. Developing this process required creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking, and we’re proud to have played a role in shaping it.
The publication of these pre-qualification documents marks the official start of the execution phase of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Mass Transit System – following years of meticulous planning – and represents a major milestone on the road to realizing Israel’s transportation vision.
