Yoheved Novogroder-Shoshan practices in the areas of life sciences, technology law, intellectual property, corporate partnering and privacy-data protection. She has extensive experience in counseling life science, medical technology, digital health and pharmaceutical companies, inside and outside of Israel, in all aspects of intellectual property generation and commercialization, including in-licensing, out-licensing, development, academic collaboration, co-development, manufacturing, partnering, and other development and commercialization models.
Yoheved’s life science clients range from biotech, med-tech or device startups, to multinational pharmaceutical companies and sophisticated investors in the life science sector. She also advises software, IT and other technology clients in a wide range of commercial transactions.
Another key part of Yoheved’s practice is advising clients in privacy and data protection matters, including the collection and use of personal information, management of databases, cross-border transfers and marketing. Many of her clients are well-known global organizations who turn to her to adapt their policies and procedures to the Israeli legal environment. She also advises clients with respect to commercial transactions that have privacy and data protection implications, including cross-border flows of information, and has assisted clients in privacy audits.
Yoheved lectures and publishes widely on intellectual property, corporate partnering and privacy. She co-authored the Israel chapter in Data Protection: Laws of the World (Sweet & Maxwell), wrote the Israel chapter for the European Lawyer Reference Series: Data Protection and Privacy (Thomson Reuters), and serves as the contributor of the Israel chapter for Agency & Distribution Law (Juris Publishing).
Having received a B.A., magna cum laude, in 1992 from Barnard College, Yoheved graduated from Columbia University Law School in 1995. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced law in New York with Paul Hastings. She was admitted to the Israel Bar in 2001, and joined the firm in 1999.
