Ram Spektor co-leads the firm’s Investment Funds Department. He advises global and domestic fund sponsors and management teams on the structuring and formation of private investment funds across a broad range of strategies and asset classes, including venture and growth capital, private equity, real estate, credit, hedge, etc. He also counsels general partners (GPs) on legal and regulatory matters concerning the raising of capital and private placements, co-investments, fee structures and incentive arrangements.
In addition to his GP work, Ram represents institutional investors, large corporates, and high-net-worth individuals in their funds-related investment activity as limited partners (LPs). This includes carrying out full legal reviews of fund structures and investment terms, preparing investment memorandums, and conducting negotiations of side letters and other bespoke arrangements.
Ram also has unique experience in acting for both sponsors and investors on cross-border private equity real estate (PERE) transactions, such as indirect real estate investments, joint ventures and secondary deals. He advises on complex international and domestic PERE structures in various commercial property segments, including multi-family, office, retail, industrial, hospitality and leisure, healthcare, and student accommodation.
Prior to joining Arnon, Tadmor-Levy, Ram co-headed the fund formation practice of another large, top-tier Israeli law firm and spent several years with the leading international firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in Manhattan, New York and later in the City of London, UK.
Ram received his LL.M. (with honors, as a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar) from Columbia Law School in 2016, and his LL.B., summa cum laude, from the University of Haifa in 2011.
Ram is admitted to both the New York Bar and the Israel Bar.
