Bio

Hagit Bavly focuses on real estate, commercial law, real estate finance, and planning and construction law. She has significant experience in a wide variety of commercial transactions, in particular in real estate matters, where she has been ranked as a top practitioner for many years. This includes purchase and sale agreements, construction agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, real estate company acquisitions, real estate company IPOs, debt arrangements, and financing agreements for both projects and for companies (representing lenders and borrowers).

Hagit has extensive experience in planning procedures, including drafting rules for city plans, and representing clients with regard to planning procedures before planning committees and other authorities. She also provides legal advice “from start to end” for complex large-scale transactions and projects, from acquisition and planning, to construction and marketing.

Who’s Who Legal (2023 Edition) ranked Hagit as a Global Leader attorney in the Real Estate field. Hagit obtained a law degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1982, a B.Des. degree from the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design in 1986, and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University in 1995. She was admitted to the Israel Bar in 1984, joined the firm in 1987, and became a partner in 1995.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Represented Shapir Housing and Construction Ltd. in a 350 million NIS loan agreement from Migdal Insurance Company.
  • Represented the Azrieli Group in the acquisition of an office building and building rights on one of Tel Aviv’s main boulevards, adjacent to an existing property of the Azrieli Group.
  • Represented a big (private) company focusing on operating homes for the elderly, in the purchase of an existing home for the elderly in the center of Israel.
  • Assisting Dalia Power Energies in the real estate aspects of the purchase (and purchase finance) of the Eshkol Site near Ashdod.
  • Providing legal advice to the Azrieli Group in the planning procedures of several sites in the center of Tel Aviv.
  • Represented Harel Insurance Group in a number of JV’s with construction companies, for construction of apartments for rent, and the finance of such construction.
