Shai specializes in complex financing transactions, insolvency law, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings, including offerings of both equity and debt securities. He offers legal counsel to investment funds, banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and other lenders from Israel and abroad.
As part of his work in the realm of complex transactions, Shai supports private and public companies and financial institutions and assists in facilitating large-scale acquisitions, sales, spin-offs, mergers, investments, financings, restructurings, loan syndications, debt arrangements, securitizations, the purchase and sale of credit portfolios, as well as other commercial transactions.
Shai also represents private companies in their initial public offerings (IPOs) in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and in foreign stock exchanges, as well issuers and underwriters of public offerings of equity and debt securities.
In the field of insolvency law, Shai represents companies, borrowers, and bondholders involved in various types of insolvency proceedings.
His areas of expertise also include corporate and securities law. Shai offers guidance to senior management teams of public and private companies, including those in the hi-tech, financing, biotech, and infrastructure sectors. He advises these teams on matters concerning corporate governance, shareholder matters, and transactions involving interested parties.
Additionally, Shai offers serves as an advisor to special committees of various companies’ boards of directors as well as to financial institutions, such as ISDA, ICMA, and ISLA and offers valuable insight on matters pertaining to Israeli legal and regulatory issues.
Shai received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Haifa University in 2014 and was admitted to the Israeli Bar Association in 2014. During his studies Shai acted as teaching assistant in the corporate law course.
Shai joined the firm as a lawyer in 2014 and became a partner in 2022.
