Arnon, Tadmor-Levy provides comprehensive legal advice and representation in all aspects of indirect taxation, including VAT, purchase tax and excise duties, as well as import-related taxes, including customs duties, purchase tax and import VAT.

Led by Yael Naveh, the team offers distinctive regulatory and legal insight, gained, among other things, through Adv. Naveh’s more than 20 years of experience at the Israel Tax Authority. During that time, she held senior positions, most recently serving as Senior Deputy Legal Counsel of the Israel Tax Authority and as Chief Legal Counsel of its Civil Indirect Taxation Division, covering VAT, customs, purchase tax and excise.

Drawing on this experience, the team advises Israeli and international companies, foreign residents, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, real estate developers, industrial companies, importers, exporters, digital economy companies and other clients.

VAT advice is integral to supporting ongoing business activity, whether conducted by individuals or companies. VAT issues can have a material impact on domestic and cross-border transactions across a broad range of sectors, including real estate, retail, finance, capital markets, digital currencies, venture capital funds, holding structures and more.

The firm provides comprehensive advice and support at every stage, from structuring and implementing transactions, through interactions with the tax authorities in various proceedings, including assessments, audits and tax rulings, to filing tax appeals and representing clients before the courts.

In the field of import taxes and international trade, the team advises clients on matters including import and export, exemptions, refunds and drawback, import compliance, bonded warehouses, customs brokers, temporary importation, conditional exemptions and personal imports.

In the fuel and excise field, the team advises fuel companies and fuel manufacturers, fuel importers, storage facilities, entities eligible for exemptions and other market participants. The firm also advises on purchase tax matters, including tax imposed on vehicles, vehicle spare parts, fuels, tobacco, alcohol and other products.

Where necessary and appropriate, the team works closely with the firm’s real estate, capital markets, high-tech, regulatory and licensing practices, enabling it to provide clients with comprehensive, tailored legal advice.
