We are proud to have advised the Shapir Group on the signing of a significant transaction with institutional investors in the field of infrastructure concession projects in Israel.
As part of the transaction, Shapir Civil and Marine Engineering Ltd. is selling 38.5% of the rights in a dedicated partnership to which Shapir’s rights in three major projects of strategic importance to Israel’s national transportation network will be transferred: Highway 6 North, Highway 16, and the Fast Lane. The transaction reflects an aggregate value of approximately NIS 950 million for the projects, and an investment of approximately NIS 366 million by the institutional investors.
This is a complex, multi-stage transaction involving the establishment of a dedicated partnership, the transfer of rights and holdings in concession projects, engagement with several institutional investors in parallel, and the arrangement of a comprehensive contractual and structural framework — all with respect to long-term infrastructure assets and subject to regulatory and third-party approvals.
We thank the Shapir Group for its trust and are pleased to have taken part in another significant transaction in the Israeli infrastructure market.
Shapir was represented throughout the transaction by the firm’s team: Eliran Furman, Nitzan Kahana Bachar, Eden Cohen, and Shoval Kedron.
